HICOCA Makes a Great Showing at the 24th International Convenience Food Conference; Its "Smart Rice Noodle Processing Equipment" Wins the Innovation Product of the Year Award

On August 29, 2024, the 24th China International Instant Food Conference and Exhibition, hosted by the China Institute of Food Science and Technology, kicked off in Kunshan.  The conference focused on the "New Quality" of the Chinese instant food industry. As the annual flagship event for the Chinese instant food industry, the conference brought together academicians, experts, and industry representatives to discuss key areas such as instant noodles, dried noodles, frozen foods, flavorings and seasonings, and machinery and equipment.  Through authoritative reports, in-depth discussions, trend analysis, and product showcases, the conference facilitated comprehensive exchange and exploration within these important sectors of the instant food industry. Qingdao Haikejia made a remarkable appearance at the event, with its "Fully Automatic Macaroni Production Line" being awarded the 2023-2024 Innovation Product Award for the Chinese Instant Food Industry.


After more than 20 years of development and growth, the China Convenience Food Conference has become a leading event in the food industry, serving as a benchmark for the future development of the convenience food sector. During the keynote presentations, experts, scholars, and industry representatives from academia and industry provided insightful analyses of the new challenges facing the industry and explored emerging opportunities for future development. Professor Meng Suohe, Honorary President of the China Institute of Food Science and Technology, delivered a keynote address titled "Navigating Through Challenges, Embracing New Opportunities," offering a comprehensive analysis of the development trends in the Chinese convenience food industry during 2023-2024.



At this year's Convenience Food Conference, Qingdao Haikejia's "Fully Automatic Macaroni Production Line" was awarded the "2023-2024 Innovative Product of the Year" in the convenience food industry. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Haikejia has received an innovation award for a new product.  This award-winning fully automated macaroni production line achieves complete automation from raw rice processing, dough mixing and extrusion, steaming, drying, and packaging, ensuring product quality while significantly improving production efficiency.  The rice milling and mixing process is fully controlled by PLC, with an automatic, precise metering and mixing system to ensure uniform proportions of different rice varieties, thus laying a solid foundation for high-quality noodles.  The dough conveying equipment features automatic metering of additives, water, and other ingredients.  The PLC control system for the extrusion process automatically sets parameters for different product types: raw material cylinder temperature 60°C–95°C, cooked material cylinder temperature 45°C–60°C; adjusts conveying frequency based on extrusion speed, and automatically controls the cooking power.  The resulting noodles exhibit excellent uniformity and quality, representing a leading level in the domestic market.



Qingdao HICOCA presented a report titled "Trends in the Development of Convenience Foods and Equipment Innovations" during the session "Topic 2: Innovation in Flavor Integration for Instant Noodles to Explore New Consumer Demands." The presentation introduced the new products and technologies for rice and noodle products that Haikejia has developed in recent years.
